Candidates from different backgrounds can choose from a variety of teacher training courses.

 

The teacher training is a combination of. Those with a baccalaureate or bachelor's degree (BA) in the relevant subject.

The Master of Public Studies teacher training course is 1 semester year. Those who do not have an MA degree in teaching or a bachelor's degree in teaching in the same subject can apply for the 2-semester courses. 4 semester courses are open to those who do not hold a bachelor's degree or a teaching qualification in the same subject (if they wish to obtain a primary school teaching qualification). 5 semester courses are open to those who hold a teaching degree and wish to obtain a secondary school teaching qualification.

 

Master's Degree in Specialist Teacher Education is a 1 semester course. 2 semester courses for those who do not have a teaching MA degree or a college teaching degree in the same subject. The 4-semester course is open to those who have a bachelor's degree in a subject other than the same subject, a diploma in a specialised teaching subject or a bachelor's degree in a specialised teaching subject.

 

Parallel courses for a Master's degree in teaching. Pursuant to Article 47(1a) of Act CCIV of 2011 on National Higher Education, as amended from 31 July 2020, students who do not have a Master's degree in teaching have the possibility to pursue a parallel course in a teaching specialisation. In this case, the Master's degree in teaching can be completed in 2 semesters, during which 60 credits must be acquired (34 credits of educational psychology module, 6 credits of methodology, 20 credits of related school placement).
